2011 is going to be a year of growth, change, excitement and happiness for all of us here at Crafty Life and Style! I decided to Art Journal some of my goals for this year. I would love to share some of my extra special creations in an exclusive class this year. Finding a fun new class won't be that hard- in fact I have my eyes set on a class by one of our amazing Artist Spotlights! Then there are some personal improvement goals like improving my physical fitness and finding a better balance in life.
Putting goals down on paper- puts them out into the universe. It helps you to focus on your intention. Be sure to put your words on pretty paper or even better- art journal them like I did. That will make you want to look at them over and over again. Making goals manageable- like physical fitness as opposed to lose __ pounds- can also help those who get discouraged if they don't reach their "goal number". What do you have planned for yourself this year? I would love to hear from you.
I plan is to start a journal and carry out and record one thoughtful deed I've done every day of the new year,no matter how small.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a lovely idea!
ReplyDeletewriting your goals down and looking at them from time to time really does help to keep one accountable. i'm such a "check off gal" myself, which is one of the main reasons i came back to blogging. good luck on reaching your goals!
ReplyDeletelove the journal. i always wished i was one that could stick with it. I did blog about my goals so that's a start.
ReplyDeleteI think my problem was that I was thinking too big and I thought I had more time to accomplish them. December comes so fast.
Yes, got my goals down on paper and even a Dream Board made...whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's Resolution was to get my family to eat healthier this year... and to blog about it by posting at least one recipe per day according to our "Clean Eating" rules. THAT is going wonderfully. Like someone else said, I kind of get overwhelmed if I make too big of a resolution, so I'm just going to add a little something to accomplish ever month or so.
ReplyDeleteI had my art class make "altered books" from recycled hardback books to make 'art journals' then I assign them something once a week to add to their journals using a technique or process that we learned in class. They are LOVING it!
